As a paleo, gluten-free and plant-based food, matcha has a slight umami flavour and vegetal note. It is a versatile, easy to use and tasty ingredient to fit into all types of cuisines, lifestyles and diets. While a little goes a long way, we love to use it lots! Sprinkle a bit everywhere.
Reeves' Recommended Uses
As a drink: Treat yourself to a matcha latte every morning! Heat a bit of water and let it cool to about 70 deg C. Then dissolve about 1/2 -1 tsp of matcha into a cup. Add your choice of milk or milk substitute (soya) and sweetner (honey, stevia, sugar).
In food: Sprinkle on ice cream, mix with yoghurt, and stir into your favourite batter of pancakes, cookies, etc.
