Also known as Yuchi (Shan Cha) wild mountain tea, this ancient wild tea is from an indigenous wild tea from Taiwan. The varietal of the wild tree has its origins in Nantou, Taiwan. Yuchi is a township in Nantou County.

CULTIVATION AND PROCESSING
From Sun Moon Lake, this indigenous wild tea is made into a black tea. Often noted to have melon and woody flavours, this tea is not as sweet as Sun Moon Lake Ruby #18, a cultivar that was derived from this tea tree.
