This black tea from Sun Moon Lake is made from the cultivar TTES #21, also known as Hong Yun or Red Rhythm. Grown in Yuchi township, this black tea has a slightly different profile to its premium black tea cultivar counterpart, Ruby 18. The name of the tea could also be loosely translated to Red Charm.

CULTIVATION AND PROCESSING
The red charm of black teas, also known as Hong Yun #21, is a hybrid black tea that was developed by the Taiwanese Research Experimental Station. With lychee and citrus notes, the tea is made from a cultivar that can also be found in our Honey Red Oolong from the East Coast of Taiwan.
