This particular tea has a distinctive brandy-like flavour. Grown around Sun Moon Lake, a region known for black teas, it is made from Ruby 18, one of Taiwan's most famous cultivars. We like to consider it a gentleman's tea.

Directly sourced from a farming friend in Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan.

CULTIVATION AND PROCESSING

The famous Ruby #18 tea is a black tea from Taiwan, known for its slight, sweet flavours reminiscent of apples and honey. The Ruby #18 cultivar was developed in Nantou at the Taiwanese Tea Research and Extension Station from the Taiwanese Wild tree and a Burmese Assam.

TEA BREWING GUIDE

• To make an optimum tea, we recommend using a glass or porcelain vessel.
• For a 300 ml mug, place about 3g of tea into an infuser and brew with hot water. Each serving can be brewed 3-4 times. Temp of brewing: 90-95° C. Time: 3-4 min
