Why are mice so lucky? Are they so cute we feel they have to escape us?
Our lucky mouse teapot looks timid and yet is clever and cunning. He wants to serve you great tea so you are distracted and he can escape. Maybe your cat will be fooled too?
Overview
This teapot is made with red Taiwanese clay. The colour is produced through traditional processes resulting from the reaction of clay minerals when fired in the kiln. There is a red clay option and a red speckled clay colour option.
The teapot holds about 300ml – perfect for one or an entire family of small mice (or your greedy cat companion) if you choose our mini teacup option.
This Marulin teapot comes from the Wong's small teapot factory in Yingge, Taiwan. Yingge, a small city outside of Taipei, was recognised as one of two earliest industrial areas for pottery, according to the literature from the era of the Japanese colonial period.
