Survivor Teapot - Handmade & Wood Fired

A one-of-a-kind handmade and wood-fired teapot with unique colours and textures.

This handmade teapot was fired in a wood kiln giving its finish a range of mysterious golden brown and metallic black colours. The firing created unique scarred texture that is pleasing to the eye and touch. Although this is a new item, the teapot's aged and weathered appearance speaks to its character and sense of place. This teapot would be in good hands of an owner who respects the beauty that comes from challenge and experience.

The teapot holds about 200 mL - perfect for one or to share with small tea cups.

This Marulin teapot comes from the Wong's small teapot factory in Yingge, Taiwan. Yingge, a small city outside of Taipei, was recognised as one of two earliest industrial areas for pottery, according to the literature from the era of the Japanese colonial period.
