Although a new object, its Bonny Brown colour has been designed to be shiny. Typically, it would take many years of brewing tea for oil to season the clay to make the coating this brilliant. However, we assure you that the process used to make the teapot shiny did not involve rubbing it, so any possible mythical creatures that could be trapped inside, have not been released.

The teapot holds about 280 mL - perfect for one or you can share with your genie friends with our mini teacup option.

This Marulin teapot come from the Wong's small teapot factory in Yingge, Taiwan. Yingge, a small city outside of Taipei, was recognized as one of two earliest industrial areas for pottery, according to the literature from the era of Japanese colonial period.
