The Marulin teacup is special because it is designed to be a tasting and smelling cup in one! In traditional Gong Fu Cha ceremony, you have two cups: one for tasting and another for smelling. We have designed this cup to serve these two purposes.

This cup is also perfect for serving Arabian style cardamom coffee (or for being served this drink, as the case may be).

We have always appreciated the ritual of being served small does of Arabian Cardamom Coffee on visits to our dear lifelong friends in the Arabian Gulf. Our Arabian style coffee cup is perfect for the ceremony. These cups were originally designed for tea, but ingenious Arabian traders adopted the style for their own traditions. During use, just remember to shake your cup when you are done drinking so it stops being politely refilled by your host (or, more likely, by your host's domestic staff).

Of course you can also use the same cup for traditional Gong Fu Cha tea ceremony, but coffee and cardamom have strong flavours and smells, so be sure wash the cups (by hand) thoroughly if you change your choice of beverage.
