ORIGIN
This tea comes from one of the growers we work with in Northern Taiwan. The garden is located in Sansia region at around 400m in elevation.
Bi Lou Chun, means ‘green snail spring,’ which refers to the long, green coils that can be found in the tea. The process of making this type of tea was brought over to Taiwan from mainland China in 1949.
CULTIVATION AND PROCESSING
This Bi Lou Chun is a spring tea made from 1 leaf and 1 bud using the varietal called Chin Shin Gan Zi. This green tea was not commonly found in Taiwan prior to the 1990s but was revived with the production of the varietal.
