This tea is made in the traditional style and taste of Taiwanese tea. It will remind you of the teas that were prevalent in the 1970s and 1980s when the streets of ‘old’ Taiwan were lined with tea shops before bubble tea became fashionable. Handpicked, this tea has lovely large whole leaves and is rolled in pearls a bit more loosely than other teas that in our collection.
The tea has thick and rich with magnolia and fruity notes.
ORIGIN
Already past retirement age, Mr Huang has a tea farm along the windy roads of the Alishan Mountain range and is still farming. We usually stop by when we visit Aunt Lin’s farm. His farm is at an elevation of about 2000 m.
CULTIVATION AND PROCESSING
Mr Huang is a classicist in terms of teas and is one of the teamakers, who makes great, traditional Taiwanese tea. Handpicked, this tea has lovely large whole leaves and is rolled in pearls a bit more loosely than other teas in our collection. The tea is thick and rich with magnolia and fruity notes. There is a buttery and hint of cream found in the tea. This tea is made from the jin xuan cultivar.

90-95°C, 3g per cup, 2-3 min, wash briefly. Several infusions
